Need Red Velvet Cake Recipe ASAP

I am needing a red velvet cake recipe to make my mother in law a birthday cake for her birthday. Her birthday is on Christmas and we are celebrating on Christmas Eve so I need it rather quickly. I did have an excellent one that actually won a contest one year when I made it but I have lost it. Does anyone have a recipe that you have made that is good? I can look online but don't want to do that because I want one that someone can pledge to it being good. Thank you! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

red velvet

Hi,
I have had good results with food network's red velvet by cake raven. I believe he was on sara's secret show. I don't have it in from of me. You can search it online and look for the one says adapted from cake raven. It requires buttermilk and 1 ounce of red coloring, so make sure you have it.

Thank you. Yes I do have the food coloring the buttermilk and also the vinegar as that is what I recalled the recipe that I lost having in it. I will look this one up that you refer to. You have personally made this one? How did it come out? I have been talking about how good red velvet cake is to my new husband who has never had it for over a year now and I don't want to disappoint.
