I need to know where I can get a good marble pastry board. I would like to try my hand at some pastry and I just know I would love to make pie crusts with it as well.

for doughs and such you really dont need a marble pastry board.

you jsut need a good CLEAN non porus surface.

I usually use a big cutting board or a large silicon mat.

Just before Christmas, I saw marble boards at a cooking store. I don't remember what the cost was, though.

If you have any counter top, or cabinet shops around, ask them. It might not be the exact size your looking for, but a scrap piece can be had pretty cheap.

I bought a fab one the other day from http://www.madefrommarble.co.uk/products.php?category=2&subcategory=35

Bought the light coloured version 38x38 cm and its simply wonderful - keeps the pastry so cool.

Happy pastry making!

I bought mine from amazon.com in 2006 - here's the link:  http://www.amazon.com/RSVP-International-18x18-Marble-Pastry/dp/B0000DE6ZA

$60.00 - free shipping (*.*)  It's wonderful when working with chocolates, keeps them cool.

Read the 17 customer reviews - to see if it's what you are looking for.

Good luck!
