Well I don't know when that film was done, but I had heard that there are no longer forged knives being made under the Sabatier name.  Not sure when this was suppose to have stopped, but I brought up the pre-war blanks as they were forged.

 

Eh, you know know how internet information sometimes goes, so I withdraw my comment as an absolute definitive answer.

Yes, now that I'm looking at least I see that the [unexceptional] stainless ksab is fully forged, and I see numerous reference to the vintage au carbone being fully forged.  You know, I may have got this whole thing mixed up with the German knives.  Geesh.
