Pepper paste vs. pepper sauce

Hello Everyone!


What's the difference between pepper paste and pepper sauce?

What are the best uses of pepper paste? Can we substitute one (paste or sauce ) for the other?

Hi there, I always use tubes of green chilli puree when I cannot be bothered to cut up green chillies, pepper sauce is more of a condiment, I think, it comes in bottles in various strengths, the sweet kind is great - wonderful for perking up cooked dishes. Hope this helps, am only a home cook.

pepper sauce probably lasts longer, anad has a base of vinegar or oil

and it can have other ingredients as well (Salt, sugar, mustard, onion, garlic, lewmongrass, papaya, mango, tumeric, tomato, cloves, etc etc)
