I would love to grow my own soy beans. Has anyone here ever grown soy bean? If so, is it complicated ?

Actually they're fairly simple. You grow them exactly the same as bush beans.

The farmer grows them in the field beside my house every other summer. He doesn't do much at all to them. Plants them and plows maybe once or twice, then not long before they're ready to pick, a cropduster comes by and sprays something on them (got cool pics of that last summer). Then harvest time comes.

Like KYHeirloomer and allie did say, growing the soy bean is not a hard task. Soy bean grows well in the soil that rich with high nitrogen, lots of sun and in warm weather will be a plus for it.

However, you need to pay more attention for the soy bean diseases...

The soy bean is ready for harvest after 85 days of planting.
