A rich lady took her little dog with her on a safari to Africa. She let the dog run free in the clearing, and before too long he was deep in the jungle. All of a sudden he became aware of a leopard heading straight for him with the clear intention of making him his next meal.
The little dog thought fast, and noticed a pile of bones laying by the trunk of a tree in front of him. He grabbed up one of the bones and began gnawing on it, and just as the leopard was going to pounce on him, he said out loud, "Man, that sure was a good tasting leopard. I wonder if there are anymore of them around?"
Upon hearing this, the leopard stopped cold in his tracks and hightailed it away as fast as he could.
Well, it just so happened there was a monkey up in the tree watching all of this transpire, so the monkey ran after the leopard and told him what a fool the little dog had made of him.
Oh, the leopard was angry. He said "Monkey, jump on my back and watch what I do to that conniving canine!".
So the monkey jumped onto the back of the leopard, and away they sped. The little dog spied them coming, and just as the leopard was going to pounce on him again, the little dog said out loud "Gee! I wonder where that darned monkey is? It must be at least half an hour since I sent him off to fetch me back another leopard to eat!"
