And oh what a motley crew of losers he has this time! Although part of the shows appeal is his "made for tv" outbursts, I can see where he could get really out of his mind with the morons he has to deal with.
Outstanding moment last night was the tasting. You gotta love the 10 year retired "chef" now home cook who decided to wow him with, well let's let Gordon tell us! YouTube - ****'s Kitchen -- Most Disgusting dish

OY!

I was a little surprised at the "chefs" that are on this seasons ****'s Kitchen..the stay at home Dad..I almost felt sorry for, but Bobby the black Gordon Ramsey was really full of himself. Couldn't finish watching it.

Someone please tell that most all of this is noting more than an act for TV. I don't watch the show but will check in on it occasionally. Apparently I saw a re-run of the first episode. The service period was a complete disaster and speaks really quite poorly of culinary professionals IMO.

Bobby was designated as being an executive chef. If thats what an executive chef is---I wouldn't want to be one, nor would I want to work with one. None of the people designated as sous chefs were anything to write home about either.

Please reassure me that it is all an act done purely for entertainment.

Look at it this way, you likely have hundreds if not thousands of people who would apply for this position. How interesting would it be if everyone there was actually competent. "Well service went well. Nothing was returned, everybody prepped well and everyone got their food in a timely manner".
See.... boring. Instead you have a well known Chef with a flair for anger and show. Put him in a room with idiots who think they have a clue and have them serve dinner. There's enough pressure with competent people. Let's put Gordon here and allow him to do what he can't do in his own kitchen. IE: Lose his mind!
And bingo, bango Bob's your Uncle, you have a TV show!

If you watch his show on BBC hes the nicest guy youll ever meet, nothing like hells kitchen, however sometimes he does snap and yell but most of the time im sure its just for show, on another note, christine, the blond girl, is a ra here at the CIA on my floor which is exciting. haha

They probably have it somewhere in his contract that every single f-bomb he drops rakes him $100.

No doubt its the same on Top Chef. The cast on that program drops the f-bomb like a carpet bombing operation. Really takes away form the show, imo.

Keep in mind that it is a reality show first, cooking show distant second. You are not going to learn how to make coq au vin watching this show, so I feel my reasons for enjoying it are solely entertainment value. I have to admit it is a little fun watching a group of less-then-professional chefs sink a dinner service completely while an enraged Ramsay insults them. There is some satisfaction in watching Ramsay create new uses for the f-bomb that I never thought of before.

I don't think I get much else out of it other then a better appreciation for my somewhat less emotional chef.
