Great site here. This is why I think so . .

I really appreciate this site for many reasons.

One is that it is really well managed. I recommend this site to others for many reasons. Nicko and the moderators make this a great site.

People are allowed to have differences as long as they are respectful in their differences.
There are obviously many pros here and they are personable to those less knowledgeable. This site attracts a lot of talent.
People really have fun here.
I learn a lot.
There are enough members that there are plenty of new posts in many forums on a daily basis.

I visit other sites, and most have a lot of trash in between the "islands" or whatever . . . I'm not very good at metaphors. I admit that I didn't appreciate this site as much as I should have at first. I thought it was "just another of those". Any of you who frequent other chat sites appreciate this site, I'm sure.

I just want to say, Thank You for a great site!!!!!

Why thank you! But I feel the same way. As a home cook, I've learned SO much from the professionals -and yes, from other home cooks as well- so that I have much more courage to try new recipes, methods and ingredients.

A few visits to other sites, where the flaming and "shouting" were common, was all I could take. This is my online home.

Very nice of you to say. Nicko has put together a site that no other site can rival in it's diversity and content. I have been a member here for 8 years, and even as it has grown we work hard to maintain a comfortable atmosphere.

completely agree

Being only 15, it's pretty hard to get advice from professionals in real life, this site gives me the advice I need from people who know and love what they do.

I have learned so much from this website about any topic I could think of. Everyone is so helpful, very sweet, and absolutely brilliant! I often find myself on this website at school during my down-time, at 3 o clock in the morning when I'm done studying but can't get to sleep, and when I need a distraction.

Thank you to Nicko, the wonderful moderators, and the rest of the "herd" for making this the perfect environment for all who love to cook!

Thanks. :) I think this site is probably the best when it comes down to real nuts and bolts cooking. Egullet has nothing on us. :D

Group hug...
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Funny thing, when people are disrespectful on CT, we all cringe and seem to collectively feel uncomfortable about it. It's so obvious that this kind of behaviour doesn't belong here. Nasty people weed themselves out pretty quickly. I came for the advice, I stayed for the friendship and support.

Thanks to all our members.

You're ok in my book... Of course I say that now because I don't remember what faux pas you are referring to... :D

its great to talk with other professionals, and a general cross section of people who are passionate about food and anything food related as well as other stuff. with lots of differing opinions some good some not so good but it makes for a nice balance
