Hey everybody,
My name is Craig for the people who do not know me. I'm currently a Sous Chef and have been cooking for acouple of years.(Just alittle about myself). And I been seeing alot of nice food here lately...And was wondering who do the ladies and gentlemen think are the best chefs here(as far as presentation wise on there posting ). I have a few members food that I enjoy looking at..But, first I would like to hear about your choices...

I thought tchef was the best, but his unintelligible banter and insulting comments got him banned. Here's the ultra quick run down...CapeChef is the smartest, Nikko is the nicest, and bonbini and foodnfoto are tied for the most amazing pics. If you want a really in depth thoughtfull answer to a question ask boar d laze. Kuan knows his **** and I used to get alot more props when I was Gladyce France. Apparantly being "psycho" gets you alot of hate mail. Until we all get together for dinner sometime we'll never know who the best chef is.

...I can almost feel the squirming...

:D

Craig, we all like eachother too much on Cheftalk to be talking like that about one another. As you can probably tell by how many people actually posted here in the last couple of days.

Sure Cape Chef, Jim, Kuan, Mezz (our new pastry chef) and the lot are good chefs, but there's a lot of hidden talent lurking about too. Stick around, give it time and make up your own mind. One thing I can say for sure is that with the combined talent on ChefTalk, we could RULE THE WORLD.

I am new here and haven't taken the time to look at the pics deeply or even get to know any of these guys really. However, Boar D Laze does stand out when it comes to a well written post, I feel I could cook anything following his directions. The pics I have looked at are fabulous, but i haven't had time to dedicate to separating them by name in my head yet.:p

When you say best, are you talking specifics.? Like Garde Manger, sauces, soups, organization etc. Everyone is best at something to get it all in one package is hard. They may be best for the particular situation they are in. I consider myself good but there are better. My forte has always been feeding the multitudes or volume, doing 6 banquets of all kinds of ethnic groups at once is not easy or doing 10,000 covers a week is not easy. Banging it out with a very few complaints and running out of nothing is great for my staff and me. Chef Ed
