You can use the squash to sub for cukes in any pickle recipe. For instance, use sliced squash and a bread & butter pickle recipe.

Other than that, what sort of flavor are you looking for? Sweet? Sour? Some combo of both?

Preferably dill or sour. I pickled zucchni and it came out good but I did not know if I could use the same receipe for squash.
Thanks for your reply.

One thing to keep in mind is that all summer squash are interchangeable in any recipe. So, you could have, say, a great recipe for zucchini, but this year grew Lemon Squash. No beg deal. Just use the Lemons.

A nice jar can be made by mixing the squashes. Again, say you use a Kosher Dill recipe. Mix zucchine and yellow crookneck, and you get an added visual treat.

BTW, when making sliced pickes of any kind I use a corrugated cutter, as the ridges seem to help retain crispness.
