Ok, So I am constantly online looking for recipes and advice or substitutions, and while those were all google searches I am also very active on several fishing forums.....So that got me thinking, why not join a cooking forum where I can get the information I need/want. For starters, I've been cooking since around middle school (almost 37 now) when my mom would lay out ingredients on the counter and a recipe and tell me to have dinner ready by the time dad got home. Ever since then I have loved cooking. I am now lucky enough to work for a telecommunications company from home :) So My fiance (who is in law and has a 35 mile commute each day) gets to come home to a cooked meal just about everyday. Some of my favorite things to cook are Anything on the grill, Thai, seafood of all sorts (especially something I've caught). In the past 2-3 years I've collected a very large stack of recipes from various sites online. I can typically look at a recipe and determine if I am going to like it or not, although several, some that I thought I'd like and some that I thought I'd hate, have shocked me. So, I am by no means a 5 star chef, but then again I don't consider myself a novice either. If there's a recipe I can definitely follow it. I hope I can pick up some tips from everyone as well as share some that I've picked up along the way....Here's a free tip I learned the hard way...... NEVER forget about displacement when using a stock pot to deep fry on the stove :) Don't worry, kitchen was fine as I had some baking soda nearby to throw on my flaming unit.......
