What is a good milk substitute?

for baking? drinking? for lactose intolerent?
my first response would be soy milk or rice milk? or almond milk, but they are all different.

It would help if the OP would be more specific. However, for the lactose intolerant, there's LACTAID®

Like nan suggests, soy milk, almond milk, and rice milk may be good options.
