I assume you are talking yeast doughnuts, which I have made but don't have the recipe in front of me.
But if you are looking for a quick and easy recipe that is delicious buy a pack of the refrigerated biscuits in the tubes. Separate them, then punch a hole in the middle with a two-liter soda cap. Fry them at 375 until golden. Put them on some papertowels for a couple seconds, then either throw them in a bag of sugar and shake or pour some simple glaze (powdered sugar and water) over them. They are soft, moist, and addictive, but not necessarily that similar to a yeast doughnut that you might be looking for. Don't forget to fry up the holes. Those are my favorites.
