What does "rep power 5" mean in the right hand corner of my posts.....

Rep power is a measure of your "reputation" as to how helpful someone or some people (here, presumably the forums' admins) think you are. Sometimes it's a sort of ratio based on how helpful you are versus the amount of trouble you cause. The assignment is typically arbitrary. The higher the score, the better your reputation. Yours is middling. Mine is very poor.

I think BDL missed this one. I gave my views on the topic http://www.cheftalk.com/forums/annou...-new-post.html Read down a ways. Nicko has promised to explain all.

The memberlist shows you with more reputation than me, but maybe we're tied and ti defaulted to alphabetical.

Thanks, Phil. Your post makes more sense than what I said, which was based on usual internet practice instead of actual knowledge of Chef's Talk. I like your reputation. It may not be as fast as mine in the straights, but it handles better on mountain curves. By way of example, put my foot in it again. Good thing I bathe them puppies in strawberry jam. :D

Oh well,

I did not add a comment but I just add an approve to Boar_de_laze's reputation because he is really good and helpful. Now this is becoming an interesting site...I love it!!!

Go ahead rockin' !!!

Rep Power..

Where is the 'Rep Power'? I can't see it anymore....
It's been removed by the board administrator. It was a feature that came with the software upgrade, and didn't seem very useful so... zap! It's gone.
