Hi I am a 38 yr old chef from Wisconsin. I enjoy creating recipes using products native to my state. I have worked at several resorts across the state while honing my skills. Recently I have been employed by a private college as their executive chef. I have 3 children 8, 6, and 2 and a husband. Reading some of the posts here I have already been able to use for work. Thanks for having a site to get and share ideas.[LIST]

Welcome snakelady1, hope to see around more often. How did you get that job at the college? It sounds like fun.

Welcome snakelady1! I have to ask, what is the story behind the name?

Also, you may want to keep an eye out on the Corporate Chef forum. There are more several folks here on the boards that are in the educational food service arena that would know where you are coming from.

I wish you the best!

Welcome to yet another cheesehead! We do have luscious products here besides cheese, bratwurst and beer, don't we. What are your favorites? Do you get to enjoy the Dane Co. Farmer's Market?

the name snakelady comes from when I worked at The Heidel House after a long hot night in the kitchen a bunch of us were walking to our vehicles which were parked across the street in a lot surrounded by woods as I approached my car a snake slithered under it and I screamed as I am very much afraid of snakes
Well everybody laughed and after that they all called me snakelady, when I got a computer and joined some of them in a chat room they all said I had to have this nickname. I must say it has been an icebreaker for many conversations.

I got the job at the college through a friend who was working there as the catering manager (you can never have too many friends)

My favorites in Wisconsin Door County Cherries and Cranberries also Belgoioso Cheeses from Denmark. I have heard many good things about the Dane County farmers market but haven't been but I have been to the farmers market in Green Bay (my hometown GO PACK)
