Hello - I need help! I received an old sugar cookie bakery recipe that calls for 1 quart of whole eggs. How many eggs would this be? It also calls for 8 lbs of flour, how many cups would this convert to?
1 quart of eggs is 16 eggs, large
flour by weight is a more accurate measure than volume. My advice, get a scale and weigh it out any way, even if you are cutting the recipe. In other words, stick with weight on the flour.
8 lbs of flour is very, very roughly, kind of sorta, somewhere in the neighborhood of 32 cups give or take a few cups or fractions of cups as izbnso indicates above. As izbnso noted, use a good scale to measure the flour; and any other dry ingredients for that matter.
