Read this to Remove Ads From The Site

Ok a bit of a bait and switch but I got your attention right? Here is the deal the ads on our site are a necessary evil to help keep ChefTalk.com going. Maybe you haven't noticed but we are a big community with over 15,000 registered members. Actually, if you were to include all of the people who have ever registered that we have cleaned out (pruned) from the datbase over time we have had over 20,000 people register!

It takes a lot of time, effort (thank the moderators please), and money to keep things running. If you would like to browse the forums, photo gallery and blogs and no longer see paid advertisments then please consider purchasing a premium membership for only $12.00. In addition to not seeing anymore ads you will also get a larger allowance of private messages, a larger size allowance profile picture and a larger size allowance for your avatar. So for a a buck a month you can few the forums with no ads.

If you would like to do this simply go to your "User Control Panel" click on the "UserCP" link in the upper left and under Miscellaneous click on "Paid Subscriptions". The details are there and it is all done via Pay Pal.

Okay I joined. How do you tell the difference.:D Actually it is nice not having all those underlined words and the links that pop up when you inadvertently hit one with the pointer.;)

The only difference is that you should not see ads, have more PM space, can add a larger profile picture and larger avatar picture.

End of month, I will be a premium member, although I don't mind seeing ads as they are your source of revenue.


I like the professional atmosphere of this website. Those dumb ads would greatly deminish it's integrity.

Put fifteen ads on the page...so long as they are food/chef related!

I've given my 2 cents, ok $12, once again this year. I have because I think this is a site worth supporting, which is just as important as not having to worry about deleting PM's as much. Most of my PM's are people telling me I'm a jerk, and I like those . . . but anyway . . .

If you are addicted to this site (as I am), and are not helping as moderator or something, 12 bucks isn't much to show your appreciation. And get a bigger ugly avatar (referring to mine) and get to call yourself riff raff.
