im not a huge sports fan but its quite exciting watching the olympics, i didnt get to see much of the opening because it was after midnight here when it was on, but i have wached a bit of rowing and the 245km cycle race.
what kinds of olympic sports do you all like to watch, i really enjoy watching the rythmic gymnastics, and the fencing , and the swimmers, and the track stuff, but its just really interesting watching all the other stuff too

Tessa, so far I have only watched the opening ceremonies, and all I have to say is WOW!! It was nothing I have ever seen before. So beautiful!! I read that they spent 1 billion dollars on it. It looked like they did for sure. I am recording to watch when I can. Go USA!!

We watch it at work (Chinese restaurant). It's so cool to watch with the Chinese and during the opening thingy they were all crying. This is HUGE for the Chinese.
It's a wonderful thing to be spoiled in the way of food.

Winter/Summer, doesn't matter to me I love watching it all. I'm personally not big on having pros play ie: basketball.... what other countries do is up to them. But still I always enjoy them, and yes the opening was spectacular to say the least!

Hey! What gives? My well thought out, and insightful reply disappeared?!?
Oh well. In that case, I watch and love both summer and winter olympics and have been watching since I was a kid!

Spectacular opening ceremonies too! Best ever!

One of the 'British' cyclists is a guy from Edinburgh - he's a 'friend of a friend'... so I've watched all the races he's been in - and he's won THREE golds - unbelievable for the GB team!
