I grew up with electric stoves and have been around them for over 25 years...never really cooked on them..mom did that :) But I recently bought a house and it has a fairly new (maybe bought in 2002) GE 4 gas burner/oven unit. I do not know much about cooking but am really enjoying it. I boiled water last night and when it did, a little splashed over; it actually made two holes that were producing flame go out. And after I waited a while and they dried, it finally worked again. Is this something common to gas stoves? I suppose the remedy is to make sure nothing ever boils out of the pot...any hints?
