Ive been lurking on this website for too long, and thought it was about time to register so here I am. My name is Matt, Live in Cali. private Chef. I love food, fishing, brewing beer, playing music, and Golf when I can. My 13 years in the restaurant industry showed me the way from classic American to more modern styles. This helped me develop my culinary style of California Cuisine that Ive been practicing for awhile now. California has some of the best fresh produce such as the Heirloom beets and purple basil, I just bought this morning from the market, haha ....Looking forward to making some kitchen connections. :smoking:

I read in the Wikipedia article for "Manteca, CA" that a misspelling of the original name resulted in your city being named "lard" in Spanish. It sure makes for an interesting bit of history!
