Hello everyone,

I have already submitted my application for the CIA 8 month certification program in San Antonio, TX and have recently been introduced to the idea of attending the 6 month certification program at the Professional Culinary Institute in CA. Can anyone comment on either of these schools in any regard?

I will be pursuing a general culinary certificate. Short term goals include gaining experience by getting involved in competitions and landing a job in a respectable restaurant or hotel. Long term goal is to become a personal chef for private hire.

I want to determine which school will better prepare me. How helpful will access to CIA's database of alumni be? Does either school have an advantage on post certificate job placement? I know CPI offers an internship opportunity while CIA does not.

Any opinoins, info, etc will be appreciated!!
