Prep Rack

I'm very excited! I bought a prep rack (aka sheet tray rack) for my kitchen at home. It's the kind that holds the 21" X 26" flat sheet pans. I got a full size one at 67" tall.

My kitchen is kind of small, and a funny shape (almost like the kitchen was an afterthought). So I'm planning to use the prep rack as a place to put food before and / or after preparation but before I take it to the table.

My wife says we're probably the only ones on the block with a prep rack in our kitchen. (It cost less than some table / shelf units at Ikea and gives me much more surface space, though it does look a bit on the industrial side.)

Congrats.
I'd love to have one, but don't have the space.
They make decent covers for them, plastic/fabric with a dual zippered front.
You might want one of those for when it's not in use.

Someone just told me that I can get half size sheets, so that I can put them in the oven.

Again, the rack doesn't exactly go with the kitchen, but I'm not really concerned with the cosmetics of it.

Check eBay for sheet pans. I scored 4 half size pans for $10. I don't remember the brand off the top of my head but they are heavy duty aluminum.
