Hi, I'm new too... just love cooking. We do have lots of mushrooms here (Kennett Square PA), but still, it's not quite like France. The mushroom festival is coming up but I haven't yet had the courage to join the cook-off. My husband is French and he's influenced my cooking as well. It's been interesting reading your blogs! Welcome, anondi! I'm sure you'll find plenty of great information here about mushrooms, starting with one of our members, Shroomgirl. She's a mushroom-loving chef who looks forward to spring hunting in her area. If you use the search tool here you'll find many threads on the subject of mushrooms, from black trumpets and shitakes to good ol' white mushrooms.
