just thought i'd share this as its kinda, sorta related..not the killing of lobster, but of fish....
back when i was a sailing cookie and we'd catch big fish i just couldn't stand the thought of whacking one more fish over the head with a winch handle to kill it, and with blood splattering all over the cockpit, so we started pouring rum down their gills...it stunned, then peacefully killed the fish.....much mo betta! plus the benefit of a little marinade! rum was god awful cheap...something like a buck a bottle...it was the coca cola that was insanely expensive!...good day all!
