I got to see and talk to him briefly at his book signing. he seemed like a super nice guy and really down to earth. i was talking to a person that works with a lot of book tours and she echo'd the same thing. she also said that charlie trotter was a premadonna  ... he made his huge entourage do everything while he sat back and looked smug.

ina garten is coming next month, my wife is excited for that one.

I personally don't care for Rick Tramonto. I've seen the other side, but Won't get into it here. As for Trotter, I dined at his place once and was appauled to watch him answer his cell phone in the middle of talking to guests. He stood at the table for over 5 minutes chatting away on his cell as the guests sat there bewildered and expectantly. Thought it was rather poor form, considering all his crying about service.

I'll PM you, as I don't feel the forum is the right place for this type of discussion.
