ceramic or porcelain tile v. linoleum advice please

Someone suggested that I replace the linoleum flooring in a bathroom with ceramic or porcelain tile. I was wondering about the comparative advantages and disadvantages of going from linoleum to tile. My biggest concern is how difficult tile would be to clean: I do not mop the floor every week. Does tile require more diligent care? Specifically would dirt and gunk might get into the grout and be difficult to clean. Does grout crack and fall out?

Any advice would be welcome!

Thank you!

Yes, grout is a pain to keep clean. You can go with a dark grout though. Most tile installers will recommend sealing the grout. This is basically a polyurethane coating but for the wear floors take, it doesn't last that long. Dark grout is a better path. Plan a color scheme that will let you use a dark grout.

Tile looks better in my opinion in most applications.
