Hi everyone, I'm Michelle. Aside from two years of home ec class, I've had no culinary training. I love to bake and although I am currently undecided on a college major, I'm considering the culinary arts. However, for right now my only experience with cooking is the mass amounts of baking that I do at home. (I also work at a local pizzeria, but I don't actually make the pizza haha)

Thank you for the introduction, Michelle! You're at about the same life stage as my brother when he started busing tables. He went to college, but after a year or so he went to culinary school and has been very successful as a chef and restrateur. Best wishes for success in whatever field you choose!

Many of us (both professionals and home cooks/bakers) started in our home kitchens- often at the elbows of our moms, grandmothers and other relatives. If there are precious recipes in your family, get copies or write them down NOW. You won't regret it!

I hope you have a look at all aspects of this site: forums, cooking articles, blogs, photo gallery, etc. There's a lot here! Fortunately, we have a search tool. :D

Visit often, learn a lot! Don't be reluctant to share what you know, too.

hi RPM,

The question you ask is really a sort of trick question. Everyone knows the best pizza is in Chicago ;)
