I'm 31 years old and have been quite passionate about food for the last 8 years or so.
I've worked in some evening recreational cooking schools, and been a trainee in some restaurants just for the experience and I've also studied food science quite extensively as I believe that is the foundation of culinary mastery...

My two favourite chefs books are the CIA's Professional Chef 7th edition and the Leiths Techniques bible.

I like to cook at home and experiment, and I'm hoping to learn a lot of tricks on these forums.
I'm a software developer full time, and in my spare time I like surfing and skydiving.
