Water will likely be some of the next big flash points in geopolitics. Lots of the world gets its water from snow, me included.

And then there is the water that crosses borders. Most of Israel's water comes from Palestine sources. Most of Iraq's water is sourced in Turkey. Mexico has never received its portion of the Colorado River under the Colorado River Compact.

I would trade government bloat. i see that as one of the great problems of the world.

We should probably remember those who have traded their lives to try and solve the world's problems.

Jeesh I mean trade something you love. Something like foie gras or chocolate. :D

I'm feeling too serious. I hope it wears off by the morning.

My cynical side says "Why trade anything to solve the world's problems? Once you get it all fixed a new bunch of idiots will just screw it up again as quickly as you fixed it." My ideological side says, "I'd give up many of my creature comforts to make the world a better place." Unfortunately my cynical side usually wins out.

I'd trade George Bush and Dick Cheney to solve even the smallest problem, and it needn't even be a world problem. Getting rid of the crabgrass on my lawn would be sufficient.

I would trade my mother's jackass of a boyfriend for cookie...

And before you state "trade something you love" ...let me please state that I would love to shove a hot red hot pike up his a$$hole. I'd be giving up something I'd love to do for the value of a cookie! And cookies will solve just about anything.

Perhaps the crabgrass will disappear on January 20 (or whenever the inauguration is)? :D

If we solved all the worlds problems, we would create a new set of problems to replace them, even if we had to invent them.

We do this all the time in the U.S. as it is.

I can see that. We solved the problem of having enough food and now we're fat. We solved the problem of home-ownership and now we have a bust bubble. We take pills to try and cure everything under the sun and now we've medicated our kids too much.
