Since chiffon cakes need to be inverted as soon as they come out of the oven, I would like to know if there is any way to bake mini individualized cakes. I have not found any tiny pans that can be inverted.

I have seen a chinese method of baking a similar cake in unwaxed paper cups that are lined with parchment paper. The cups are simply inverted unto a cake pan. This does freak me out a bit. Don't the cups melt in the oven? And how are the cups inverted if they do not have small feet on them the way the tube pans do?

Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated. Otherwise I will have to stick to my 10 inch metal tube pans.
