I make lots of cake and biscuits (cookies in US-speak). However, I very, very seldom eat cake!

Too many favorite cakes, which is why I resemble a beach ball with appendages :D

Actually I very seldom eat cake anymore or I would like like a beach ball without appendages :D

Devils Food Cake ;)

I remember one of my LEAST favorite cakes. We had a decent but hardly outstanding dinner at this place in Paris, split a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. Dry, crumbly, flavorless, but it did look nice with the dusting of powdered sugar.

I also rarely eat cake (depends on how much bread the peasants have on hand ) but my favorite is what I call Triple Threat. A layer of devils food, topped with a layer of rich and dark flourless chocolate, then another layer of devils food. The frosting involved starts out with melting a stick of butter in a pint of heavy cream, a generous dose of dark rum and then whisking in a pound of bittersweet chocolate shavings....

One of my favorites is Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. I found the recipe in a cookie book but when I made it I decided it was really a cake. My daugher, nephew, and nieces love it too.

Hi,

My favorite cake is Godiva Chocolate Cheescake which is sold at Cheescake Factory. This cake will taste very nice with a hot cup of cafe latte. Some people prefer to have this cake as warm as possible while others prefer it cold from the fridge.

I didnt like it when i was there. It looked and tasted too "production line".. I was less than impressed. They served some good coffee though!

I just put that down to the preciseness of the Germanic temperament. I always bring a whole cake home when I visit.
