And I'm new here... I am 16 and want to be a Chef so I am planning to go to Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena or the Art Institutes Hollywood for Culinary Arts when I graduate HS... I know how to cook basic foods but I am still learning because I don't know about the fancy stuff and I do not know that much spices and stuff.... I also like to watch Hells Kitchen and Watch Food Network...:D

Nice to meet you all!

Le Cordon Bleu is an amazing school, although pricey and lots of work. Nice to meet you and good luck!

You might want to look into getting a job at a restaurant or food service facility, other than a "fast food assembly joint", so you can "get a taste" of the industry before you lay out the "big bucks" for culinary school.

Remember, whether you graduate from a "name" culinary school or your local community college, you will just be getting started on the long road to becoming a "chef" and you will have to "pay your dues" for a number of years before achieving that title.
