Hello Peoples,

I'm the primary chef in the family, because I am the most skilled and because I enjoy it. I've joined this forum to mostly learn about sauces. Recently I've been cooking a lot of steaks and gotten quite good at the steak, but now want to add delicious sauces to them.

Hello Sosh and welcome to Chef Talk. You're like a lot of us home cooks who end up doing a lot of the cooking- and liking it! We learn a lot by doing it, and then want to learn more. This is an excellent place to do that.

I recommend you start your "sauces" quest with the search tool here. We've had discussions over the years and you may profit from scanning through those. You're welcome to browse in the professionals' forums, but please stick to the general forums for posting. That's the only restriction we home cooks have. But rest assured, you'll reap many suggestions and ideas from the pros even in the general forums.

I hope you also take some time to cruise around the other features of the site: blogs, cooking articles, photo galleries, etc. You can learn a dozen new things here every time you visit.
