convert to chocolate cake using cocoa powder

Thread Starter
hey guys

I have a (regular/vanilla) cake recipe and I want to convert to a chocolate version of it. So is there a specific percentage of flour I have to take out from the regular cake recipe and replace it with cocoa powder with the same amount?

also is there a specfic cocoa powder I have to use?

thanks,

No, baking is a balanced formula based on properties of ingredients. To delete flour and useing cocoa instead, the structure of the cake may suffer, the flavor may be to chocolaty or not enough. It will require experimitation. Trial and error.
