Baking Cookies but they taste like baking soda

Hello Everyone!

This is the second time I made Oatmeal raisin cookies and I taste the baking soda? Should I add less or try a different approach such as Baking Powder?:crazy:

Hello Steedlebug, and welcome to Chef Talk. As you can see, I moved your thread to a much better forum for your baking question. I hope you'll return to the Welcome forum and favor us with an introduction.

As for your cookies: it would be most helpful if you would post your complete recipe. That way we can see if there's something wrong with it or a better way to go about it. Baking powder and baking soda act differently in recipes, so it's best to see it before suggesting solutions.
