The Macaroni Grill, Ventura, CA

I'd never been to the Macaroni Grill before until my husband took our family there for Mother's Day. I now have a new favorite restaurant!

The atmosphere, the wine, the food, the service - all superior! The White Zin was the best I've ever had, and I learned the restaurant has their own vineyard and sells their wine by the bottle. I'm not "a wine drinker," but that white zin is still on my mind.

Everything from a simple Caesar salad, the fresh bread, fettucine alfredo with shrimp scampi, and even the peach flavored iced tea was over the top delicious.

The service was outstanding, and I can't wait to go back:lips:

Wow, I have to disagree completely. This chain restaurant is a lesser version of the Olive Garden, and I wouldn't eat there either. To each his own, I'm glad someone had a good experience there.

I always thought Macaroni Grill had generic Italian food. Not bad but nothing great in my opinion. It does have nice atomosphere, cozy.

I ate there once. I don't ever need to go back again.

The one I ate in here in Florida was Imitation Italian Fast Food. The bread was good.
