Nice restaurants in Paris?

We rented an apartment in Montmartre for a few weeks and we want to go out once or twice to a fine restaurant. I'm talking cheese carts and the whole caboodle.

Any suggestions and good experiences to share?

lol, first off you are in Paris and the French are known for being notoriously rude and you expect to find a NICE place. ok irony over.

check out Nicko's blog while he is in Paris, you might even be able to meet Cheftalk's illustrious founder. He has also mentioned several places he has visited including some he wished he could afford.

Thanks. I'll check that out.

We've been to Paris before and we were expecting this "notirously rude" behavior, but it was rare. My husband speaks french so it's a little easier. When I say "nice" I mean a lot of money. If you are rude or expect english, you are going to get something similar in return.

Hi,

here are a couple places that I like in Montmartre (or nearby):
  • Le Diables great atmosphere, very friendly owner.
  • maybe once for a special occasion (it's expensive but worth it): Les Versance
  • a nice bistro: Le Mesturet
You can book a table on these via witU.com.
Let us know which place you went to!
