Need Resume Tips

OK, I've seriously had enough. I'm currently running a 2 man station alone plus inventory and covering the station next to mine when theres no one else to operate all without help while being given a lot of H E double hockey sticks by customers and employer alike. I need to refresh my resume, I haven't done so in a couple years and back then it didn't land me a kitchen job so either it needs some major work of maybe I should start from scratch.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

IMHO, a resumé "might" get you in the door if HR is involved.

Otherwise, work your "network", you DO know others in the industry, correct?

WOM (word of mouth) is the BEST recommendation.

I honestly have very little networking. Most of the chefs, managers, etc I've met are within the company. I would ask for an internal transfer but I'm sure the company would turn me down since it was them who stopped me from becoming manager to another site or the chef of where I am now.

I have only a couple people I could try to hook me up with a job but there are no guarantee especially around these times.

Just a suggestion:

Try online job searches. You can look here on

craigslist.com
indeed.com
monster.com
careerbuilders.com
yahoojobs.com
cheftalk.com

Send someone your resume to have a look @ it. If you would like, I will look at your resume and i can only offer you my opinion
