I am interested in going abroad, China, Japan, So America, Mexico, E. Europe, for a culinary education either through a school or through work experience. Basically I am looking for something besides mainland Europe to gain unique skills to bring back to the states.

Does anyone know of International schools or ideas on how to land a professional gig abroad where the chef could speak English? Does someone have an interesting culinary experience abroad to point me in a direction? I know that Tokyo is becoming a major player.
