When I first visited a cooking forum I was confused by some of the abbreviations used in the discussions. Here are some I can think of, what others do we have?

FP = food processor
s/p = salt & pepper
evoo = extra virgin olive oil

I had the same problem and was mystifyed for a while....here are some I had problems with (EVOO threw me too)

IMHO = In My Honest Opinion
IMHPO = In My Honest Personal Opinion
MIL = Mother In Law
FIL = Father In Law.....SIL, DIL etc
FWIW = For What Its Worth

once you understand it makes life so much easier, with considerably much less head scratching and confused frowns :)

Or am I still getting them wrong?? :eek: :lol:

SWMBO -- She Who Must Be Obeyed (reference to H. Rider Haggard's novel She); often misspelled SWAMBO, She Who Must Always Be Obeyed
