The Judges

Carla,

I was curious how you and the other contestants felt about the judges and if you thought they were fair. Tom C seems like a pretty cool guy but Padma seemed a little too serious all the time. Were you guys able to actually spend time with the judges or was the strictly off limits.

The judging is taken very seriously, so we were not able to even talk to the judges in a personal nature outside of the judges table. I looked at the judges table as an opportunity to get feedback. If you were on top OR on the bottom, you got feedback - generally constructive. If you were in the middle, you got nothing. I thought they were fair...snarky sometimes, but generally fair. Afterall, it's perspective and opinions.
