Stopping in to say hi

Hello! I'm Rachelle, and excited to be starting culinary school and a new career/life next week at the seemingly-very-old age of 44. Six months ago I was an unhappy corporate public relations person when I got the layoff notice that would change everything. I love food and the people who also love it, so while I know that this new path will be a lot of very hard work, I'm excited to be able to do something I've always wanted to do -- that will make me -- and hopefully other people -- happy. I hope to get to know you all better and get some great advice and insight along the way. Cheers!

How exciting, to start a new career - but a teensy bit frightening, too, I'll bet!
There is a forum here for culinary students, where you can post any questions you may have regarding school etc.
Have a look at some of the older articles and the photographs - they have certainly given me inspiration.
Join in on threads of specific interest, or start your own!
