Roasting Butternut Squash

Hello guys! Allright, Im thinking to make a butternut squash and chickpea salad. The recipe comes from Molly Wizenberg. This recipe calls for roasted butternut cubes. I have baked them before but only until they get soft, I was wondering if I could leave them a bit longer until they start to look a bit brown. Just asking because I dont want to mess it up :p

your instincts are correct - for browning, you can bake a slightly higher temps - but you do want them the cubes to cook soft before going burnt, so not too much higher.

safe method: bake as per prior experience, when soft jack up the temp and brown them.
