I love to write. I've nothing published, mainly cos i dont submit my work. I need loads more practice before i let the professional critics at me.
Anyway i was inspired by this months writers magazine to have a go at poetry. In particular, a limeric. So I did.
I reckon we all have a ditty in us, and heres mine
One day on the step with a smoke
I met a peculiar bloke
He asked. "Are you a chef"
I answered him "Yes"
"God help you" he cried as he spoke.
"A peculiar choice to have made
To be tied to a stove as a slave"
But I said "It's all good"
"I get tips and free food"
So he buggered off then with a wave.
I'd love to hear what else there is out there. I'm sure there's many a giggle
