Generic celebrity question

Welcome to ChefTalk and thank you for sharing your time with us!

I am always intrigued by the day-in, day-out of celebrities. Does your ability to dine without distraction or intrusion become hindered as your celebrity status becomes evident? Are culinary excursions hampered by advice seekers? Do dining experiences become 'one up' competitions by whichever restaurant in which you happen to be dining, because of your celebrity?

I am really not such a celebrity since I left the Food Network. When I was doing my live show, "Cooking Live," on the network I got recognized alot but now it is completely random which is sort of a relief. It is nice to walk around like a normal human being and not worry about how you look...
however, I did make alot of friends when I was on the food network. I probably had about 300 to 400 guests on, many of them chefs, so when I eat out they take care of me but it is more because we are friends. I was a chef before I did the show, not a celebrity and now I am still a chef.
