Stir-fry sauce

Hi,

I would like to make some different kind of stir-fry sauces. I went online and looked up a couple recipes. For every single recipe you need chicken broth.

Unfortunately, we don't have this product in Holland. Is there anything else I could use instead?

Thanks :)

Hi Kevin86,

No chicken broth in Holland, really?
Well, I don't know if this is just a matter of semantics or what so...

You could use:

Chicken stock (make your own and freeze it).

Or

Use chicken bouillon cubes (buy them on the internet).

Or

Use vegetable stock or bouillon (make or buy on internet)

Or

Just use water and a pinch of curry and tumeric.

Hope this helps.....

Thanks for your reply.

After some research yesterday I found out a lot more about broth and stock.

I think I was confused because I saw my grandmother in Florida used chicken broth and it was really creamy. We don't have that, but of course we have chicken stock, and now I know hot to make it myself:)

Sweet and sour chicken was really good yesterday:smiles:

In reading your first post I was amazed at the idea of no chicken broth in Holland! Glad you got it worked out.

Trying to cook without chicken broth... how sad that would be!
