Ya sou, John! You'll feel like this is home in short order, I'm sure.

As a sports doc, were you inspired to move to cooking because of athletes' nutritional concerns? A good number of our members came to cooking from diverse fields. It's interesting to hear about the spur that sent you to the kitchen. What were your experiences in the kitchen in Faenza? Are there flavors or techniques you learned about there that shaped you as a chef?

Thessaloniki is a beautiful seaside city. Unfortunately, I was very ill with food poisoning when it was time to visit the museum (with the Alexander exhibit) many years ago. However, that just makes for a great excuse to put Greece on the itinerary again.
