I need some help with my class?

Hello,

My name is Jake, and I am currently attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in the Culinary arts program. I am in a Baking and Pastry class for this quarter and have to, for an assignment, interview a Baker. This said baker has to have at least 10 years experience or hold a management position. I have been looking around and cannot find anyone. If you can help me in the next few days that would be amazing.

If you are willing to help me, hit me up with a personal message and I will send the questions. I would really appreciate this.

The questions would not be personal, and would only pertain to work experience, reasons for choosing this career, and more of the such.

Thank you very much,:D

Have you tried just googling local bakeries and walking in then asking?
I am sure the whole point of the assignment is so that you have face time with a professional rather than scouring the internet and getting a quick email from a Chef.

It is actually pretty fun going into bakeries and patisseries etc.
If you get someone nice maybe you can get to walk around the shop and stuff.

But yeah...
Just use yellow pages or google your local baking and pastry shops.

Thank you for your input.

I and several other of my classmates have tried several bakeries in the city and they all said no. They said that they were to busy and it wasn't important enough at the moment. So this was a last ditch effort to do the project. Thanks anyway though, i did find someone on this website.

When you approached these businesses, when did you go? During their peak times? Did you buy any of their products?

We did not buy any of their products, no. We are college students, money is short all the time. We went usually an hour or so before they closed or in between the typical lunch and dinner rush. I did not know when the best time to go would be. The project is now finished and turned in thanks to this forum though so it is ok.
