Recipe hit and run posters

What is with the recipe hit and run posters that are spamming the place? Seems like every few days there is a post about a few recipes from somewhere with the poster having one or two posts.

I've only noticed it from one person lately, John Gotti (name mispelled on purpose).

What about marcmanaois? Seems like his posts are only a thinly disguised way of touting his own website.

he/she (?) has posted the same two receipts in multiple cooking forums - it would all appear directed at drumming up traffic to "the site"

there's been any number of similar / prior incidences - different site builders, same tactic.
