I would like to give a friend in New England a gift of stracchino. He had it when he was here and loved it. Does anyone know of a mail order source that would ship to providence? thanks.

Sorry, I didn't have time to check the web and search for an online source to buy, but the company "Belgioioso" from Wisconsin makes a good cheese called stracchino. I can't honestly say how it compares to the stuff in Italy, but it is pretty good stuff. I imagine you can find a source for it on the internet.

i own a cheese store in florida and get get stracchino on a preorder basis. it would be in - totally fresh and this is crucial with this cheese - about three weeks after you order. i then could overnight it up to providence. you can contact me at chostettler@comcast.net if you are interested. thanks, caroline.
